At Geelong Community & Care Services (GCCS), travel support is provided to help participants access the community safely, confidently, and independently.
Travel supports are delivered in line with your NDIS plan, Service Agreement, and Schedule of Supports.
We may assist with travel for:
Medical and allied health appointments
Shopping and errands
Community and social activities
Education, training, or employment
Recreational outings
Travel support is always planned, agreed, and goal-focused.
Travel support may include:
✔ Accompanied travel with a support worker
✔ Transport in a support worker’s insured vehicle
✔ Support to use public or community transport
All travel is delivered with:
✔ Participant safety as a priority
✔ Respect and dignity
✔ Clear communication
Travel charges apply only when agreed and may include:
Time spent travelling to or with a participant, where applicable
Vehicle use charged per kilometre
All travel charges:
Are explained before services start
Are listed in your Schedule of Supports
Appear clearly on invoices
There are no unexpected travel charges.
GCCS ensures:
1. Workers hold valid licences
2. Vehicles used for transport are insured
3. Travel follows risk and safety guidelines
Participants are encouraged to:
1. Communicate any mobility or safety needs
2. Share preferences regarding travel support
